as posted by the channelThe House and Senate pass another temporary federal government funding extension – a Continuing Resolution, or CR – preventing a partial shutdown starting Friday night and giving lawmakers more time to write and pass the regular 12 spending bills now that Congressional Republicans and Democrats and President Joe Biden have agreed on a topline spending amount.
But a good number of Republicans in both chambers voted 'no' on the CR, objecting the spending levels and to not being able to attach immigration and border security changes to the bill.
