YouTube Description

as posted by the channel

C-SPAN visited the Little White Schoolhouse in Ripon, Wisconsin — about an hour and a half from where the RNC is being held in Milwaukee — to learn about the founding of the Republican Party.

Mandy Kimes, the executive director of the Ripon Chamber of Commerce, tells us about how a group of men disaffected with the existing parties' stances toward the expansion of slavery laid the groundwork for what would ultimately become the Grand Old Party.
