President Trump on Tuesday signed into law a sweeping funding package to end the partial government shutdown that began Saturday.

The House passed the measure 217–214 earlier in the day, after the Senate cleared it in a 71–29 vote last Friday.

The $1.2 trillion package, which accounts for roughly 78% of government funding, includes five full-year appropriations bills covering the departments of State, Defense, Labor, Health and Human Services, Education, and Transportation, among other agencies.

It also funds the Homeland Security Department at current levels through Feb. 13, buying a brief window for lawmakers to negotiate over potential reforms to immigration enforcement operations as part of a full-year bill.
