1:59Now PlayingPresident Trump on Monday called airports “fertile territory” for ICE agents to make immigration arrests, but said their primary mission was to assist TSA as the Homeland Security Department shutdown drags on, creating longer security lines.
“They love it because they’re able to now arrest illegals as they come into the country. That’s very fertile territory,” he told reporters before departing Air Force One in Palm Beach, Florida. “But that’s not why they’re there. They’re really there to help.”

President Trump said he requested that the ICE agents not wear masks at airports, saying he did not think it was an “appropriate look.”
“I didn’t think it was an appropriate look for an airport,” he told reporters. “I think it’s a very appropriate look when they’re out on the street trying to find one of the 11,888 murderers that Sleepy Joe Biden let into the country.”
