“That’s what this body has been such a reflection of, the beautiful expanding freedoms in our country,” the Baltimore native said in Annapolis after being presented with a resolution commending her career achievements.
“We constantly expanded freedom, and that always happened, until recently. And that’s really the challenge that we have. How do we honor the values of our founders in what they intended for our country and the path they set us on, the courage it took for them to do it?”
