as posted by the channelPresident Trump vowed Monday to find the “leaker” who disclosed to a media company that a second U.S. airman had not yet been recovered in Iran, saying the report jeopardized the mission by alerting Iranian authorities.
“We’re looking very hard to find that leaker,” he said in the White House briefing room. “They basically said that we have one and there’s somebody missing. Well, [Iran] didn’t know there was somebody missing until this leaker gave the information.”
The president also threatened the media company if it refuses to reveal the source.
“We think we’ll be able to find it out, because we’re going to go to the media company that released it, and we’re going to say, ‘national security, give it up or go to jail,’” he said. “The person that did the story will go to jail if he doesn’t say.”
It is unclear which media outlet or journalist the president was referring to.
