as posted by the channelPresident Trump told reporters Friday that the U.S. and Iran are closing in on a deal to end the war, saying few differences remain after Iran announced it would reopen the Strait of Hormuz.
“Talks are going on. It’ll go on over the weekend,” he told reporters after arriving in Phoenix. “I don’t think there’s too many significant differences.”
The president said the U.S. naval blockade of Iranian ports would end once a long-term deal is finalized.
“As soon as the agreement gets signed, that’s when the blockade ends,” he said.
