In light of President Biden’s cancer diagnosis, I reflect on his long service to our nation—and why I still believe he was the only one who could stop Trump in 2020. I share my personal journey from voting third-party in 2016 to supporting Biden in 2020, and why I respected his eventual decision to step aside in 2024.
But Biden’s exit didn’t give us Trump’s return—something much deeper did. In this video, I confront the spiritual and political crisis we’re living through, fueled in part by white Christian nationalism. I refuse to dehumanize political opponents, but I won’t shy away from naming the threat Trump represents.
This moment is painful—but it might be the wake-up call America needs. Let’s talk about how we move forward with justice, courage, and hope.
