In this video, I reflect on one of the most foundational scriptures shaping my call to speak out — as a Christian and former pastor — against Donald Trump and the MAGA movement.
Matthew 6:22–23 says, “If the light within you is darkness, how great is that darkness.” This teaching from Jesus cuts deep — especially when so many American Christians still claim to be “salt and light” while defending a political movement built on lies, cruelty, and corruption.
I break down what this passage meant in its original context, how it connects to Jesus’ call to pursue justice (not just personal morality), and why I believe staying silent in the face of Christian nationalism would mean abandoning the light entirely.
