12:25Now PlayingDana talks with Tarrant County Sheriff, Bill Waybourn (@BillWaybourn) in response to the Texas Observer's in-kind media contribution to Waybourn's ActBlue-funded Democratic opponent, (which magically appear just weeks before election) where the media is claiming that conditions in Tarrant Co. jails are not only a problem, but the cause of death for some incarcerated. The truth is, with over 190,000 people coming through those jails since Bill Waybourn became Sheriff, with an average daily jail population of 4,000 people, there will be deaths of those who are sick/not healthy. Any death is tragic, and the media trying to pin it on 'conditions' or 'operations' by Sheriff Waybourn's office is not only unfounded, but also absurd.
