As China increases their Military Spending, and ‘pie in the sky’ GDP projections (5%), while warning of ‘escalating threats’. Yates notes“Who is China threatened by with an invasion? Who released a virus in China? Who is trying to take land from China?” The answer is no one. The truth is, that China has been threatening Taiwan. Yates also warns that some of the offerings to Russia from China are ‘fungible’ - meaning an asset given to Russia could be swapped for something that Russia will use against Ukraine.
