As it relates to the Dallas News hit piece, Chip has actually asked for MORE funding for HS, as long as it’s implemented responsibly. Homeland Security hasn’t done the job that they are tasked to do, so a threat to not pay people for NOT doing their job isn’t ‘defunding’, it’s demanding that Homeland Security actually do it’s job. No security, No Pay - it’s simple. Congress is out until September, and the fight in Washington continues…FEMA, COVID, SECURITY and more will be discussed when Congress is back in session. We need fighters like Chip in Congress protecting our money and making sure it’s being spent effectively and wisely.
