Dana (@DLoesch/@DanaLoeschRadio) is joined by FCC Commissioner, Brendan Carr (@BrendanCarrFCC), who has the truth about the underlying desire of government to implement ‘Net Neutrality’ - it’s about control, moving the internet into the category of a ‘utility’, therefore giving full control to the government. Their argument is that companies ‘throttle’ the speeds downward for those on certain plans, and companies also throttle down to handle high traffic situations as well, in order to keep service up and running rather than crashing. The government doesn’t ‘know better’ than these companies, and to try to take more power and control is exactly what’s wrong with government.
Brendan Carr articulates well the fact that we do not need government involved in this, nor do we need the government imposing more regulatory power - power they already abuse.
Also, Brendan was just confirmed by the Senate for another 5 years in his position, so that means Dana has a ‘Get Out Of Jail Free’ card, in case she verbally slips up on the air:)
