Newly released body cam footage shows a police officer facing down gunman Thomas Crooks on a rooftop BEFORE the assassination attempt.
Fox News obtained the footage from Butler Township Police, showing the officer being lifted onto the roof and peering over the ledge.
The clip initially has no sound, but midway through, chaos erupts.
“He’s got glasses, long hair,” the officer says, describing Crooks’ backpack and AR-15 rifle.
