Miracles - Ears Open in an Instant

Sometimes our miracle does not come the way we expected. Teetee Bongo’s miracle actually came in two stages.

“When I came to the CfaN meeting, I felt both joy and excitement as I watched the people singing with great happiness. But I could not follow along because I was deaf.”

Teetee had been deaf in both ears for 17 years – since she was twelve years old. Not even hearing aids helped.

“It was so difficult. I could not communicate with my own family! Many of them rejected me. I was so lonely. I felt like a prisoner stuck in solitary confinement.”

Once she reached high school, she was no longer able to follow the teacher’s instructions through sight alone. So she was forced to quit school. She became very sad, even wanting to end her life.

But when she attended the first night of the CfaN Campaign in Yaoundé, Cameroon, she was asking God to do something special for her. Then when Daniel Kolenda prayed for the sick, Teetee experienced something powerful.

“As he prayed, I felt a burning, burning, burning – like my ears were on fire! They kept getting hotter and hotter. Then something inside me said, ‘Start giving thanks to God!’ Suddenly my right ear opened, and I could hear out of it! I was shocked. It was amazing!”

Teetee started to dance and praise God. Then her brother, Nasser, quickly brought her to the stage to testify. But before she could share her story, Nasser told Daniel that God had only opened one ear, and asked if he would pray for his sister again. So Daniel prayed for the left ear to be opened.

There was only slight improvement. So Daniel turned to the crowd of about 150,000 people, asking them to reach their hands toward Teetee and pray. “That’s when it happened. BOOM! Suddenly I could hear out of my left ear, too!”

Daniel tested both ears to verify the healing, and the Lord had totally restored her hearing. She could hear from both ears! The crowd broke into wild praise. “It was so wonderful. I was in shock. I hardly even knew where I was!”

The next day a CfaN team visited Teetee’s home and confirmed the miracle from the previous night. God had indeed performed a wonderful, miraculous healing.

Teetee said: “I am so grateful to God for healing me! I am so thankful to Him. Jesus is real! Jesus is alive! Turn to Him and you will see what He will do for you! "
