YouTube Description
as posted by the channelIn this clip, taken from Daniel Kolenda's podcast "Off the Record" Daniel discuss the history of the modern Santa Claus and the theory that they are somehow related to or deriving from older legends of a horned, half-goat, half-demon creature, from European folklore, particularly associated with Austrian and Bavarian traditions, called Krampus. Though some traditions used both Santa and Krampus, contrasting one with the other, the Santa mythology did not derive in any way from Krampus as some have claimed.
