James Franco is the latest celebrity to hop on the crowd funding bandwagon. He hopes to raise half a million dollars to produce three films based on his books. Franco joins other Hollywood actors and producers such as Zach Braff and the TV show Veronica Mars which have recently used crowd funding platform to fund their projects.
