YouTube Description
as posted by the channelDave Rubin and the panel discuss a school district in Los Angeles that has hired a company to monitor public social media posts made by thousands students.
The Glendale Unified School District will be monitoring 13,000 students at 8 middle and high schools. According to the superintendent, the service will monitor for keywords to see if a student is considering harming themselves or harming someone else.
Will programs like this encourage students to become even more apathetic to government spying when they are adults? And is this only the beginning -- will schools all over the country start adopting similar programs?
