Ayaan first talks about how liberalism is being weakened by the identity politics of the woke left. She also discusses how wokeism has far more in common with radical Islam than many would think. Both engage in science denial, and the censorship of criticism. She suggests that the only way to defend liberalism is to build alliances with centrist and moderate political opponents and create a new centrism. She states that young people should not be seeking out safe spaces at university, but should actually want to be triggered. Ayaan talks about how COVID has changed how we talk about international borders and multiculturalism in Europe. She discusses how a lack of cultural assimilation for immigrants has had a negative impact on women and particularly muslim women. She warns that not having honest conversations about the European migration crisis has the potential to empower far-right groups. She discusses how elites are beginning to wake up to the problems of Europe’s liberal immigration policy and porous borders. She shares how Denmark’s immigration policies have changed since realizing that without proper assimilation programs they create unintentional muslim ghettoes. Ayaan discusses how the short-sighted immigration policies of Europe have put women and immigrant muslim women in danger, harmed human rights and created women-free zones in some European cities. She shares how women in Islam are treated unfairly and how this behavior has been imported into Europe. Ayaan doesn’t see leaders of the feminist movement showing much concern over these issues, since their priorities are more in line with breaking the glass ceiling and getting childcare than trying to achieve gender equality in the lower classes. She shares how anyone who brings up the potential problems immigration policies have created for women are subject to social media censorship.
