Gregg Barak, Emeritus Professor of Criminology and Criminal Justice at Eastern Michigan University and the former Visiting Distinguished Professor in the College of Justice & Safety at Eastern Kentucky University. In 2003 he became the 27th Fellow of the Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences and in 2007 Gregg received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Critical Division of the American Society of Criminology. Gregg Barak was also the EMU recipient of the Ronald Collins Distinguished Faculty Award for Scholarly and Creative Activity, awarded in 2006. In 2017 he had a Fulbrilght to Porto Alegre, Brasil where he gave a series of public lectures on Globalization and Crime, and gave a semester long seminar on Global Criminology to M.A. and Ph.D. students in Criminal Science at Pontificia Universidade Catholica do Rio Grande do Sul. In 2019 Gregg received the Praxis Award from the ASC's Division on Critical Criminology & Social Justice and in 2020 received the Gilbert Geis Lifetime Achievement Award from the ASC's Division of White-Collar and Corporate Crime.
