Given the choice, Americans would choose taking care of each other instead of just ourselves. On today's program, Professor Harvey J. Kaye, author of "The British Marxist Historians," explains why Americans are Democratic Socialists, but they just don't know it yet. ALL Americans want a bigger say in our government and economy, which is why given a free and open debate followed by a free and open opportunity to vote for it -- we would ALL choose Democratic Socialism. America was founded on the principles of Democracy and Socialism. These principles have always been at the heart of the American Dream from Roosevelt right up to Senator Bernie Sanders. These principles are also the foundation of the American social welfare system, Medicare, Medicaid, and the right to a free education.
