He told Trump: don't do this. We don't have the munitions. We need our allies. The Strait of Hormuz could be shut down and there's nothing we can do about it. Trump ignored him and did it anyway.
JD Vance served in Iraq. Tulsi Gabbard served in Iraq. Neither one was in the situation room. They were parked next to the hedge fund manager and the oil exec.
Pete Hegseth wasn't even allowed in the photos.
Colin Powell served in Vietnam. He knew what war smelled and tasted like. He went to the UN and lied about WMDs anyway. Dan Cain could have quit. He stayed. He briefed the bombing campaign. He knew exactly how it would end.
Joe Kent quit on Tuesday. Nobody knew who Joe Kent was until he quit.
Trump dodged Vietnam five times. The one qualification for getting into that room: don't remind him.
