America has once again lost a foreign war of choice. The same pattern that played out in *Vietnam, Iraq, and Afghanistan* repeats here. The familiar excuses collapse: America was not “stabbed in the back” and it was not forced to fight a “woke” war with one arm tied behind its back.
This was an all-out assault with overwhelming firepower with no restrictions — and it ended in rapid failure anyway. *Sending ground troops to seize the Strait of Hormuz would require a catastrophic D-Day-style invasion: flooding the zone with at least 100,000 soldiers and storming beaches and cliffs heavily fortified by the Iranian Revolutionary Guard.*
The lesson is clear. Forever wars of choice deliver only defeat at enormous cost.
