I understand the concerns surrounding AI in creative work and I shared many of them when I first encountered these tools. As someone who works in animation, I’ve seen how quickly AI is becoming a part of the creative pipeline, across companies of all sizes. For many small creators like me, rejecting these tools outright isn’t always realistic, especially when they're becoming standard along the animation and media industry.

As for me, yes, I do make music the traditional way, and I still work in animation. This project reflects another side of my creative interests, using new tools to explore ideas I care about. Seeing firsthand how these tools are being integrated, and realizing how inevitable their presence is becoming, is what opened my mind to the potential of experimenting with them in a more intentional and creative way.

This project blends my lifelong love for games with the support of AI tools. This isn’t about pretending it’s something it’s not, I’m not claiming this should be considered art by everyone, nor that I have full artistic involvement over the process. It’s about breathing new life into the soundtrack of my childhood. I’m exploring a niche I care deeply about, and my hope is that these reimagined soundtracks spark the same sense of wonder and nostalgia in you that they’ve sparked in me. If it doesn’t resonate with you, that’s totally fair, meaning isn’t universal. What feels empty to you may bring joy and connection to others, regardless of the tools behind the content.

Until better ethical standards are established, targeting small artists who are experimenting in good faith won’t solve the larger issues. I’m just trying to create meaningful work, share it with others, and make a living doing what I love while supporting my family.
