as posted by the channelThe Commonwealth has completed its direct examination of ATF Agent and partygoer, which included pages and pages of text messages between Higgins and Read, making portions of the trial a very uncomfortable watch for us and even more uncomfortable for Karen Read as John O'Keefe's family was sitting in the courtroom burning holes in Read with their eyes as they saw page after page of text messages of Karen making moves on Brian Higgins while she was dating John O'Keefe....As disturbing as that was, the real question is how did those text messages affect the Commonwealth's and Defense's cases. Did they make the jury believe that Karen is cold and calculating and capable of murder or did they destroy the CW's theory that Karen was a women scorned as she knew her relationship with John was ending and if John of O'Keefe was not going to be hers....he was not going to be with anybody.
