YouTube Description
as posted by the channelWere the people around Austin Drummond accessories after the fact, helping a friend whose life was in danger, or acting without knowing about the murders at all? In this update, your two criminal defense attorney hosts break down the emerging record: the rental-car handoff, the Bikini Bottoms pickup, the three-way phone call the morning of the murders, and the claims about prison-contraband smuggling. We also look at mainstream coverage—what’s accurate, what’s missing, and where bias may creep in.
WHO HAS BEEN CHARGED:
Tanaka Brown — Two counts of Accessory After the Fact to First-Degree Murder; and Tampering with Evidence.
Giovontie Thomas — Two counts of Accessory After the Fact
Dearrah Sanders — Two counts of Accessory After the Fact
Michelle Ovelis — Two counts of Accessory After the Fact
Erik Wise, Jr. — Two counts of Accessory After the Fact.
CASE SUMMARY:
On July 29, 2025, four relatives—James “Matthew” Wilson (21), his partner Adrianna Williams (20), her mother Cortney Rose (38), and her brother Braydon Williams (15)—were found shot off Carrington Road near Tiptonville Tennessee; Matthew and Adrianna's infant was taken from the scene and driven 40 miles away to safety. Austin Drummond is in a relationship with the sister of Cortney Rose and was like family to the victims. Austin became a suspect primarily because evidence puts him at the scene and he went on the run after the murders but he claims he fled because he was in fear for his life. Austin reported that he had been working with law enforcement, informing on drug smuggling into the Northwest Correctional Complex as well as dirty cops and correctional officers. Investigators also developed evidence that the victims were involved in smuggling contraband into that prison.
