What would you do to protect your child from a predator and would the law be on your side once you did it?
CASE SUMMARY: In July 2024, Fosler was arrested for numerous se-ual offenses against Spencer’s 13-year-old daughter and released on $5,000 cash bond. The State later filed forty-three felony charges against him. Several months later, on October 8, 2024, Spencer and his wife awoke to his dog barking and realized that his daughter was gone. As a result, they called police, and he left in his truck to search for her. Spencer located Fosler’s truck—with his daughter inside—and he forced it off the highway. After an altercation, Spencer called 911 to report that he had shot Fosler, who died at the scene. Lonoke County prosecutors charged Spencer, a war veteran, loving father, upstanding citizen, with second Degree Murder.
