The suit highlights text messages between fired Trooper Michael Proctor and former Canton Sgt. Sean Goode — and it comes just two days after Goode resigned amid an internal affairs investigation. ⚖️ KARMELO ANTHONY (Collin County, TX) — The trial over the 2025 fatal track-meet stabbing of Austin Metcalf is underway in McKinney; a jury was seated June 3, opening statements followed, and the state's witnesses are now testifying. Prosecutor Bill Wirskye called it a "senseless murder" and a "sneak, surprise attack," not self-defense. Anthony has pleaded not guilty and faces up to life if convicted.
