21:46Now PlayingBreaking news from Lyman Front: Russia Ministry of Defense (or whoever the command is for the forces here) finally ordered a withdrawal from Lyman to Kreminna, after the Ukrainians start to break through Russian lines in the west and south of Lyman City.
With the Ukrainian forces having fire control along the entire stretch of roads from Lyman and Kreminna, Russia launched massive artillery cover fire to keep the corridor open as the Russian forces withdraw from the salient to avoid a physical encirclement.
Ukraine confirmed to have captured Lyman by the morning of 2nd October.
Ukrainian forces continue to attack across the Zherebets River to capture the road to Svatove north of Zarichne/Torske.
