5:28Now PlayingAs per reported in our previous updates, the Ukrainian forces are unable to fully secure the village as the village is largely flatten with no good place to entrench themselves. This however did not stop Ukraine from trying to send detachments into the settlement to find ways to entrench.
Russian forces continue to hold the high ground west of Staromaiorske, which continue to threaten Ukrainian forces within the settlement. And finally the Ukrainian forces were entirely pushed out of the village in a Russian offensive operation.
However, the same conditions applies for the Russians, thus as of now, Staromaiorske remains under the "grey zone" where neither sides can actually secure it without conquering the outskirts to create a buffer zone around the settlement.
