I wanted to go over a controversial ban decision made last week by Twitch. Known by Hasanabi on Twitch, Hasan recently made controversial comments towards Dan Crenshaw. This was picked up by Fox News and other media sources. Hasan is a frequent commentator on TYT - The Young Turks, and went on the show to respond. It's been a media discussion and controversy since then.
While I don't normally comment on individual cases, this was a good opportunity to outline how Twitch enforcement is ideally supposed to work. Twitch Terms of Service has rightfully had a lot of controversy around it. I wanted to use this opportunity to talk about Twitch, Twitch bans in general, and Twitch's policies around their TOS.
Let me be clear that I have absolutely nothing against Hasan. And I didn't want this to be a political thing. It's just a pretty straightforward Terms of Service discussion and a good opportunity to clarify what's going on at Twitch.
