Why are broadcasters leaving Twitch?
Usually we hear one answer. Money.
We've recently covered Shroud and Ninja leaving Twitch for Mixer. Next up in announcements was King Gothalion. King Gothalion posted a video on Twitter explaining he was leaving for Mixer because of the partnerships and opportunities there.
A lot of people think that broadcasters expect to retain their viewership when leaving for Mixer. In this video, I breakdown why viewership numbers aren't the #1 metric for a lot of these broadcasters. We're likely to see more broadcasters leave the platform because of the opportunities that a smaller platform can offer.
Large companies like Microsoft and Facebook aren't useless. Viewership numbers aren't the only thing they provide. We break down more in this video.
