0:41Now PlayingThe shepherds that would gather round the manger that Christmas morning were those who had been entrusted with a special responsibility. What was that responsibility? To guard, protect and feed the lambs that would grow up and be used for the Passover. Each year, hundreds of thousands of lambs would be slaughtered as a constant reminder of God’s Holiness, justice and love, and also point to One who would one day come and be the final Passover lamb. The King who lay in a manger was not only The Lion of Judah, but also the “Lamb, who takes away the sin of the world.”
