D'Souza joined Mike Gallagher on his radio show on February 1 to discuss his federal prosecution (including the shocking thing that the DOJ is now telling Congress about his case) and the rise of Bernie Sanders amidst the downfall of Hillary.

"I think the main thing driving Sanders popularity is the fact that in their hearts, Democrats know that Hillary is a crook. There's a gangster-ism about the Clintons that was even know when they left office in 2000."

"The second reason is that if you actually follow Sanders's life, it is basically that of a perpetual impoverished student. The guy basically half lives in his car, he's always sleeping in other people's basements, he borrows money, he can't pay for his health insurance. Until he gets a government job, he can't even support himself. He's reminiscent of a whole generation of young people today who are also perpetual students. They are not only unemployed, but unemployable because their education has amounted to a diet of leftwing slogans. They hear the same slogans from Sanders now, and they say, 'yeah, maybe we can make it the same way this guy did, by doing nothing.'"
