Your Path Is Alone - Zherka Esoteric Twitter Space

There is a marriage that most men never perform. Not between two persons, but between the outer man built through years of effort and the inner being that has watched that construction from a distance, growing unfamiliar with the face it sees. When one develops without the other, something disfigures. Not immediately. Slowly. The personality, left to grow without a corresponding deepening of the inner man, becomes a machine in motion, productive on the surface, hollow underneath. The machine stays busy precisely so it never has to notice what it has become.

Karma is not a concept waiting at the end of life to settle accounts. It settles them continuously, in the dream states a man drifts through, in the addictions that masquerade as desire, in the lessons deferred again and again under the assumption there will be time later to learn them correctly. There is not always time. The man who builds his external life while sleeping through the inner one is not getting away with anything. He is accumulating.

The art of being is not a reward for those who have already secured their material life. It is the work itself. The tiger does not plan. It is not anxious. It simply is, completely, in each moment. A man can spend eighty years in the richest circumstances available and never once arrive at what the tiger inhabits by nature.

The conversation moves through the cost of overdeveloping the wrong side, the karma of influence misused, and the dream state that swallows the rich and the poor alike. The drug addict and the millionaire search for the same inner peace by different methods, both having bypassed the only work that could give it to them. Threaded through all of it is one irreversible weight. This character, this skin, this exact configuration of soul and circumstance, arrives once and will not be reconstructed.

The only question underneath everything is how awake the player is while wearing the skin.
