In Revelation chapters 2 and 3, we have Jesus writing 7 letters to 7 churches. These letters cover Christians in every type of environment, and every letter ends with these words: "He who overcomes." This is not a suggestion, but an exhortation! God is calling every single one of us to overcome our past. We cannot use our past as an excuse to stay the way we are. We must overcome!
