Every Thursday morning since the internment of the late pope John Paul II members of the Polish clergy have held a remembrance mass by the tomb in the crypt of St. Peter's basilica. This past Thursday, the 28th of April 2011, the last of these celebrations was held. After the mass the crypt was closed off and the tomb opened so that the remains of the late pope could be moved to the new sarcophagus located in the upper basilica.

This footage was provided to us courtesy of Fr. Kazimierz Chwalek of the Marian Fathers of the Immaculate Conception who had the opportunity to concelebrate the mass. To view the full story visit:
