CLARIFICATION: Sorry for the confusion, but some people misunderstood and thought I said a person conceived from IVF doesn't have a soul. That is not true at all! All living things have souls (it is what animates them) but only humans have "rational souls." So nobody is alive without a soul. And that doesn't mean that God and the parents don't love them! I stressed that in the talk. What it means is the Church says it is a concern when those children are conceived without the love-making act. That is what is missing.... it is not the soul that is missing.
