as posted by the channelIn today’s “Moments of Mercy,” Fr. Gabe Cillo explains that our tired hearts can be healed by making Spiritual Communions. Spiritual Communion is a prayerful act of uniting ourselves prayerfully to Jesus, when we are unable to receive Him in the Blessed Sacrament of the Eucharist. For many of us who are unable to attend daily Mass, this is a small way we can be united to the Church and to Christ in the Mass and the Lord’s Supper.
Not sure what to say in an act of Spiritual Communion? Follow this prayer, “My Jesus, I believe that You are present in the Most Holy Sacrament. I love You above all things and I desire to receive You into my soul. Since I cannot at this moment receive you sacramentally, come at least into my heart. I embrace You as if You were already there and unite myself wholly to You. Amen.”
