You Don't Have to Pray for Them by Name!

In a special update from his pilgrimage in Mexico, Fr. Chris Alar shares the beauty of Marian consecration. He explains that we don’t need to name every single person or intention in our prayers—something often impossible. Instead, we can entrust all acts of mercy and prayer to God through the hands of Mary, asking Him to apply them where they are most needed: for the soul we are most obligated to pray for, and for the soul most in need of His mercy.

Fr. Chris reminds us that it is not up to us to do it all—only God can. Our role is to pray, entrust, and hand everything over through Mary. She, as our loving Mother, knows how to direct those prayers perfectly into God’s hands.

This message comes during the “Mexico: Heart of Guadalupe Pilgrimage” (September 16–22, 2025), where pilgrims are visiting holy sites such as the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Mexico City, San Agustin Acolman in Tulpetlac, and Santa Prisca Church in Taxco. Although registration for this journey has closed, we invite you to join us in spirit by embracing the same trust in Mary that Fr. Chris is teaching on this pilgrimage.
