When Jesus walked the earth, His miracles revealed that He is Lord over all creation. The blind saw, the lame walked, storms were calmed, and the dead were raised. Yet, Christ’s authority did not end with His earthly ministry. Through the apostles and saints, He continues to manifest His power, reminding us that He is “the same yesterday, today, and forever” (Hebrews 13:8).

As Fr. Gabe Cillo explains in today’s homily clip, the Lord uses His chosen instruments to restore order and bring life where death seems final. The Acts of the Apostles recounts how Peter and Paul raised the dead in the name of Jesus, showing that His Resurrection is not just an event in history but a reality that breaks into our world. This same truth is visible in the life of St. Stanislaus Papczyński, founder of the Marian Fathers, who, by God’s grace, raised the dead. These are not legends or myths but testimonies to the boundless power of Christ alive in His saints.

The Catechism reminds us, “In human life, signs and symbols occupy an important place. Since it is God who created man and endowed him with a body and a soul, signs and symbols can also speak to him of God” (CCC 1146). Miracles are such signs—visible reminders that Jesus Christ reigns over nature, life, and death. They encourage us to trust in His mercy and to call upon the intercession of the saints, who share in His victory.

Every miracle points us back to the greatest miracle: Christ’s Resurrection and the Divine Mercy poured out upon the world. May we never forget that the same Jesus who conquered death continues to act through His Church.
