Fr. Mark reminds us that Jesus knows our tendency to seek comfort and settle for a superficial faith. We often create convenient compromises that allow us to remain in our comfort zone rather than fully surrendering to God's will. Yet Christ offers no shortcuts. The pattern He gives us is not optional; it is the necessary foundation for a life that can withstand the storms of temptation, suffering, and judgment. Only those who build their lives upon the solid rock of obedience to Christ will remain standing. Today, we are invited to examine the foundation of our own lives and choose to build on the unshakable rock that leads to eternal life.
