Fr. Jason Lewis, MIC reflects on the deep connection between belief, trust, love, and obedience. In modern life, many people struggle with trust issues in relationships, but true trust is a sign of real love. This is the response God desires from us: to trust Him completely. From the beginning, Adam and Eve’s first sin revealed a lack of trust in God’s love and command, leading to disobedience and separation.
St. Thomas shows us the journey from doubt to surrender. When he finally encountered the Risen Christ, his heart opened in trust, communication, love, and complete surrender: “My Lord and my God.” The evil one still tries to make us doubt God’s love, making us feel abandoned or distant from Him. But Our Lady, Queen of Peace, calls us to trust her Son for eternity and remain in communion with Him. Our response must always be: Jesus, I trust in You.
