When fellow Brooklyn rapper Fabolous is brought up, Maino pays respect and praises Fabolous for having such a long and successful career. The "Hustle Hard" rapper adds that Fabolous is the only other Brooklyn artist that he can compete with in the music arena.
When asked about Jay Z, Maino says "Jay Z's the king of the world," and says B.I.G. is always going to be looked at as a king.
Speaking more about labeling himself a king as opposed to a prince, Maino says that he hasn't felt backlash, because he's cool with other Brooklyn artists. He adds that he would've hopped on another artist's album if they named their project "King of Brooklyn," because he feels secure with himself.
