When asked about her thoughts on interracial relationships, given that she plays someone in a mixed relationship in the movie, Jaime says that she doesn't have a problem with it. She shares that her son is half-Cuban and her boyfriend is of mixed race, adding that she was married to an African American on "My Name is Earl." She also speaks about growing up in North Carolina and helping her white girlfriend meet up with her black boyfriend in secret, because it was such a judgemental place.
