After the girls settled in together, they played around with a few names for the group. However, it was LaTocha who coined the name "Xscape," as she felt the group was different from the norm. They then began shopping their sound around, and after Dallas Austin turned them down they went to see Jermaine Dupri.
Tiny reveals that after they sung "Happy Birthday" at his 20th birthday party, Jermaine became interested in working with them. They then released the smash hit "Just Kickin It," which went platinum when Tiny was only 17 years old.
