3:07Now PlayingR&B star Tyrese recently threw a benefit gala for the #BringBackOurGirls movement in conjunction with UNICEF, supporting the hopeful return of nearly 300 kidnapped Nigerian girls to their families. All proceeds went towards the recovery efforts, donations to their families, and therapy for the young ladies to cope with the unfortunate situation.
"It's not about me. To God be all the glory. I normally run away from cameras but I've never been so happy to see this much press and media in my life, because if the point is shedding light on something that you have a problem with, you can't do it without the cameras taking pictures and getting footage of the statement that you're trying to make."
Fellow R&B crooner Mario arrived and showed love to Tyrese, saluting the Watts native for his efforts and expressing his gratitude to be a part of the movement.
