5:24Now PlayingVladTV Battle Rap Journalist Michael Hughes caught up with Kid Capri prior to the start of the Total Slaughter event, and spoke to him about the battles that were about to take place.
Capri explained how he and Loaded Lux foresaw this successful path for Battle Rap about 4 or 5 years ago, and how monumental the entire movement is for the culture.
He then shared his thoughts on the impact of what Joe Budden vs. Hollow will have on the overall culture of Hip-Hop, and how Joe taking a loss in this battle "won't discredit his artistry" because people will have to respect his bravery for stepping into the lyrical ring against one of the true veterans of the sport.
Just a day prior to the event, Hollow Da Don tweeted that he heard from a credible source that the Total Slaughter battles were rigged and that the judges were going to vote in favor of Joe so long as he didn't have and stumbles or chokes. Kid Capri, who was one of the judges for that battle, addressed Hollow's tweet and clarified that he would never judge based off of any type of favoritism or crooked behind-the-scenes dealings with the company who runs the battle.
Look out for some funny photobomb and videobomb moments from Daylyt in the background as well.
