3:46Now PlayingVladTV caught up with ESPN's Stephen A. Smith at the CC Sabathia & Robinson Cano Summer Classic Charity Basketball Game, and spoke to him about the popular Ice Bucket Challenge charity craze, and the ongoing chaos in Ferguson following the police killing of Mike Brown. Stephen joked about how he recently did the challenge, and that he doesn't ever want to have to pour a bucket of ice water on himself ever again. He issued a challenge to Jay Z, Shaq, and Skip Bayless, who also recently participated in the challenge.
The tone became much more serious when Stephen A. shared his thoughts on the current state of Ferguson, Mo. He spoke on how black people need to react to these kinds of situations with more order, instead of resorting to looting stores and causing mayhem in the streets. He questioned how that kind of behavior will help to make anything better, and that it only further supports the negative stigmas that many police and people in general have of the black community. Stephen stated that all the videos of stores being looted only show black people causing the trouble, and that this kind of behavior needs to stop.
