He recalls hearing the news shortly after having his own meeting with the label, so he was definitely shocked.
He agreed with Keef's assessment that no one at the label understood him after Dr. Dre and Jimmy Iovine left, going a step further to say he doesn't believe the label ever fully understood Keef as an artist.
